Spotlight on the Hero

I'm not the most patient of men. I'm used to taking what I want or *low chuckle* seducing to reach my goal. I'm blunt and in-your-face, determined and ruthless in my protection of the Kendrians, my vampire race. I'm known as 'Ian the Enforcer' for a reason. If a vamp goes rogue, he can kiss his ass good-bye. I'll find him and take him out. Guaranteed.

From the opening scene to the final battle, there is constant action, both on the battlefield and in the bedroom! Jax is, to date, the toughest heroine I've had the pleasure of meeting. She has had a near loveless childhood, yet she is a caring woman. Oh, and can she kick ass! As a human she is nearly as powerful as the vampires she chases. Ian *drooling* is sexy, powerful, and totally alpha. Once he meets Jax, he becomes possessive and protective of her . . . even though she nowhere needs his protection. Together, these two create the heated passion of epic romances. They instantly start working as a team, even though both are loners. Oh sure they have some issues along the way (grin) but that's half the fun! The other half is the heated sex scene. Get your fans and buckets of ice; you will most definitely need them. And remember, ladies, Ian belongs to Jax, she just might kick your ass if she found out you fantasized about him!!

Patrice Michelle proves, once again, like she needs too (grin), that she is a powerful author. Gold Star! "...Move over Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter, here comes Jax Markson.  And unlike Ms. Blake, Jax knows what she wants and isn't afraid to reach out and grab it!  A Taste For Revenge absolutely riveted me from page one till the end.  Ms. Michelle has written a complex, captivating story that is one of the best I have read in a while.  The characters come to life on the pages; I got to know Ian just as Jax did, growing to trust him more and more as the story unfolded.  His tenderness with Jax and his willingness to, despite his own feelings, let her make her own choices shows the depth of his character.  Jax was a little spitfire.  She held Ian entranced from the moment he met her.  She has a weapons arsenal like no other and she can hold her own against an over six foot, arrogant vampire.  Jax is not afraid to kick him in the chest, or shoot him in the leg, when she is mad at him.and she is frequently mad at him.  As the story of these two reluctant partners evolves, the suspense is high and the action is wild.   This book never lags; there isn't a moment when something wasn't happening.  When Jax and Ian make love the first time, they are both taken aback by the intensity of it.  As their relationship unfolds I was delighted by some the most erotic and emotionally intense love scenes I have read. 

Ms. Michelle has written a masterpiece of love and revenge that is incomparable!  It isn't often that the plot, characterization and sexuality of a book come together so completely they result in a truly fantastic work of art.  A Taste For Revenge is one of those books.cover to cover.    It deserves the Gold Star Award and Ms. Michelle deserves all the accolades I know she will get from this fabulous look into her world of vampires."

"...Ms. Michelle has always had the ability to weave words together so her readers get a vivid picture.  This story is a perfect example of this!  Fast paced, intriguing, and extremely suspenseful, A Taste For Revenge is a very erotic story with the obligatory battle between good and evil; Ian and Jax are determined to make sure good wins.  The sensual romance between these two lovers had me falling in love with Ian, the epitome of the alpha male; capable at any moment to protect the woman he loves and the friends he cares for.  Jax on the other hand, can handle anything life throws at her, including Ian, but she learns to give and take in her relationship.  With its exceptionally sensual love story, fascinating characterization and intriguing plot, A Taste For Revenge is definitely deserving of the Gold Star Award.  I'll add this book to my home library and read it over and over again and I know you will enjoy it the way I did."

story. I liked it a lot, as the story is full of action and Jax is a woman, who relies only on herself, she is brave and yet vulnerable. Only after feeling Ian's tenderness and care, she notices, what she has been missing till now. Ian is an Irish hero to fall in love with, very sexy, protective and strong. He wants to win Jax's love and to protect her of Drace, but he also tries to understand her character and he lets her be herself. Lots of action, great
sex and lots of sexy Vampires - a good recommendation!

"...Revenge and sex make the encounter so much juicier and Ms. Michelle played on that to the tenth degree. Her description was so vivid that I felt as if I were there fighting the vampires with her. Jax was like a kicked up version of Buffy, but not blonde. I think I would've seen Sarah Michelle in my minds eye if she was a blond. I love how Jax didn't let Ian tell her what to do. How throughout the entire story she was focused on bringing her father's murderer to justice. The tension was obvious and I liked how I was on the edge of my seat wondering when Jax would find out that Ian was a vampire too. I also like how the author opened up the possibility for Jax's ex to have his own story. YES!"
