"...A Taste for Control is a unique addition to the ever popular Vampire genre! Rich in detail and emotional development there's a tremendous amount going on, from the erotic love story between Rose and Duncan to an ancient curse and mysteries that stem from their ancestors in Ireland. The whole environment smolders with sensuality. Central tension springs from the issue of control and how both Rose and Duncan must find the strength to know when to use it as well as when to relinquish it. Ms. Michelle keeps the plot flowing. Background facts were cleverly revealed as part of the ongoing events and dialog, so that the pace of the story never faltered. Rose and Duncan showed a lot of growth throughout this story. Smooth and delicious sensuality builds between them with sexy scenes both in and out of the bedroom. Secondary characters were fleshed out and made the plot even more engaging. Rose's family particularly Uncle Nigel, Duncan's parents, Ian and Jax, and their friend Mark are all important and add endearing, realistic depth to the story. I hope the brooding, charismatic Ronan will star in his own book! You will want to reread A Taste for Control and savor it more each time.

"...Ms. Michelle builds a fascinating alternative world of vampires, priestesses, Gods and a whole cast of beings. The story encompasses internal vampire societies, politics and intrigue. While the title of this story might be misleading to some (the book has absolutely nothing to do with D/s or BDS&M control), it IS aptly named. Rose and Duncan are stubborn characters, neither willing to give an inch. They both wrest for control of their relationship, neither wanting emotional ties or at least admitting to them. Rose holds her own against an emotionally and physically strong adversary and watching these two characters build their relationship, makes for great reading.

This is erotica and the sex is hot. The sex scenes are very well done, containing explosively high levels of tension. Where a lot of erotica today is written as sex for sex's sake or seeing how experimentative we can get by pushing boundaries as far as we can, A TASTE FOR CONTROL is steamy without getting involved in using those plot devices.

All around a fantastic read. Be sure you don't miss this one!"
