Regardless of her nomadic ways, one constant has always held true-her love for horses and being outdoors. When she inherits half ownership to a rodeo ranch, she knows her path in life has finally been laid. Little did she expect to find her very own cowboy at the end of it.

Then again, maybe she can rope her cowboy and have him, too.

Spotlight on the Hero

My ranch and my family have always come first in my life. I'm possessive and protective of those close to me and while I'm a fair-minded man, I'll fight like a junk-yard dog if I feel my own are threatened in any way.

"...BAD IN BOOTS: HARMS' HUNGER with the "elevator scene" had so many people talking; Patrice Michelle will have more people talking about BAD IN BOOTS: COLT'S CHOICE and the scene in Rockin' Joe's Tavern along with many others. From the suggestive drinks to sitting at the table.Miss Michelle certainly gets your heart to pounding.hard.  I certainly hope she writes about the foreman Rick, and the brother Mace or even about Cade, the elusive brother.  Any one of them should get hooked up with Elise's photographer friend Alex, another independent woman.

I certainly look forward to reading the Hearts are Wild anthology coming out in a few weeks, BAD IN BOOTS: BOOK III, HEARTS ARE WILD: HEARTS AFIRE.  Patrice has enough wonderful cowboys to make this a continuing series, and I hope she does.  You don't find many writers that can make you want to live the story, but Patrice makes me want to go back to Texas. This book is a scorcher. I had to have a crushed ice sassafras tea to cool down.  Keep 'em coming, Patrice. I love them cowboys."

"...Patrice Michelle has written a sensual story with lots of action to keep the reader guessing.  Sexual tension is high in this gripping tale.  With Colt and Elise finding themselves more and more attracted to each other, Ms Michelle adds the suspense of a neighbour who is also after the ranch, an ex-girlfriend who will do anything to get herself into Colt's life, and a mother who supposedly left the family, never wanting to see her boys again.  All is woven together in a marvellous story that captures the reader.  This story is full of emotion that pulls on the heart.  I loved this story.  I loved the characters. Colt and Elise just leap out of the page at you.  .  Passionate and romantic, I had to find the ice box real quick.  Ms Michelle writes a powerful story, just the kind I like.  The ending gave me some major emotional tinges and I will definitely be looking out for her next cowboy book. "

"...The story is much more than just their sexual attraction. They each have issues to resolve and several misunderstandings add heat to an already intense attraction. Simmering anticipation turns into explosive sensuality when they finally act on their impulses. I had to stop to calm my blood pressure every time Elise's pulse went through the roof! Patrice Michelle has written well rounded characters in a setting that comes alive. The other Tanner brothers and secondary characters were a lively crew that added dimension to the story. I will watch for Cade and Mace's stories. These Tanner men make me wanna be a cowgirl, baby! Excellent story, I highly recommend it."
