ANTICIPATION AND SEDUCTION
Some romances are meant to be…
ANTICIPATION
What if the one-who-got-away…didn’t?
Deidre Nelson has never forgotten the man who stole her heart so effectively a decade ago. When circumstances bring her back to Ventura, Texas to look after her parents’ B&B, she prepares to face Jonas Mendez, the sexy wrangler-turned sheriff, with growing anticipation.
Deidre’s engaging smile and seductive gaze has haunted Jonas for ten years. But life’s cruel ironies pepper his past, leaving him guarded and wary. He vows to keep his interaction with Deidre strictly professional while she’s in Ventura.
But when vandalism at the B&B turns life-threatening, Jonas finds himself intimately involved with the one woman he has always wanted but never touched. As a decade of built-up anticipation becomes reality, suddenly the line between protector and possessor begins to blur.
SUSANNA’S SEDUCTION
Seduction can be spontaneous…
Susan Brennon never expected that running an errand for her future sister-in-law would land her a spur-of-the-moment date. When Michael leads her down a sensual path of seduction, she takes on the sexy Italian full-throttle, all the while keeping her heart under tight guard. Every person she’s formed a close attachment to has moved on. She doesn’t expect Michael to be any different.
From the moment he touches Susan, Michael Piccoli wants her. But as their relationship grows more physical, he finds that for the first time in his life he desires more than sex from a woman he wants the whole package with Susanna. Michael’s determined to break through the rigid hold Susanna has on her emotions. He’ll do anything to reach her, even if that means taking their relationship to a whole new level.
Two sexy stories that’ll make you believe in happy-ever-afters all over again.

One of my favorite romantic memories is of New Year’s Eve 1999. Joe and I were alone and we had a fire going in the fireplace, we had a bottle of Dom Perignon that my boss had given me, we had chilled shrimp, chocolate covered strawberries. We made a pallet on the floor with all the blankets and comforters in front of the fire place, had the Christmas tree lights going and just the two of us. It was sweet and quiet and a very special night for both of us
My first date with my now husband. We were both nervous. We had met online and had been talking for about 3 months when we decided that we need to finally meet. It was the best date I have ever had. We went out for dinner and then went and saw the first Harry Potter movie. It was soon after that date that I knew he was the one for me. He has changed me so much, that I shudder at the thought of the person I would have been without him.

When in high school my girl friend went on vacation with her family and asked me to take care of the boy she was seeing at that time. I did as she asked and ended up marrying him. We have been married for 55 years.
I hate to admit it but I had so much fun with my ex who owned a marina! One night, when we were dating, we decided to “buck it up” and streaked down the lane from his house to the marina. When we reached the dock, headlights flashed directly on us and we “hit the deck!”….and crawled our way out onto one of the windsurfers he had tied up. Naked windsurfing (among other things :X …ahem) rocks! What a flippin’ rush!
On the way back to the house, we almost got caught again, hid behind a tree and ended up removing some bark as well as a little skin from my backside!
Those were the days…. =P
My husband and I met over the phone. The very first time I met him in person my heart about came out of my chest.I was so nervous.I went to shake his hand but instead of a handshake he pulled me to him and hugged me.To this day he will walk up to me out of the blue and give me a big hug. Then he gives me a smile and goes back to doing whatever he was doing. :X
My ‘Wedding in Hell’ is my favorite memory. My DH said that since many marriages seem to start in Heaven and end in Hell, we should reverse the cycle by starting in Hell and ending in Heaven.
So he made the arrangements, and we got married in Hell, Michigan.
And it worked exactly as we hoped.

My husband and I met because my brother forgot to pay his water bill. My husband worked for the company and he knew my brother so he paid the bill for him so his water would not be cut off. When he came over that evening to get the money from my brother, we met and had a whirlwind courtship and have been married for 5 years.
A fun romantic memory I have was on our 30th wedding anniversary. I thought we were just going out for dinner but my hubby surprised me. He packed an overnight bag for me and took me to the inn where we spent our wedding night. He had made reservations for us to spend the night in the same room as before and also dinner reservations. When we went to the room and opened the door, I saw a bouquet of red roses on a table. He’s so sweet! We had a great time that night. I knew my hubby was a keeper on our first date! =D
one of my favorite romantic memories was when I was still married to my ex-husband I had come home from working a double shift I was tired and a bit cranky, I sat down on the couch to take my shoes off my husbands was just sitting there watching me giving me appropriate soothing noises and when all of the sudden a tiny little nose with whiskars peeked out form under our couch followed by a tiny little head, followed rather quickly by a tiny ball of fluff and fur that jumped into my lap and promptly fell asleep:-) my husband who hates cats had went out and bought me the most adorable little kitten I cried LOTS – I know this isn’t your normal romantic moment, but it is one that I remember always:-)

This romantic moment is one of the best dates I ever had but did not turn into marriage thanks to the Vietnam War. I was a senior in college and only went to classes in the morning. I worked at the USO in the afternoon. I met a lot of guys but one in particular caught my attention and I must have caught his. We began to go places after I got off work just because we enjoyed each others company. One evening he arranged a picnic out on the lake near the town where we were. From then until he shipped out we were almost inseperable but life did not mean for us to be together for always.
When my husband proposed to me. We had gone on a cruise, and were all dressed up for the formal dinner. Before dinner started we went out to the back of the ship to take some pictures of the sunset.
I told him how perfect this was, and he asked if I knew what would make this more perfect. Being the smarta** I can be, I laughed and told him if he bought me that gorgeous ring we saw in the gift shop and proposed to me!
Then he puts up his hand, and gets down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Lots of people around, sun setting on the Caribbean sea. I just started to cry, and so did he.
Hmm, I have no story… which is kinda sad, lol
But, I do want to say Congrats on the release, Patrice!! I’ll be buying this asap :grinnod:
Well I have two stories that revolve around cooking. My first attempt at a meal for my now husband was a disaster! I was a senoir in college and this was about our third date. I wanted to make a steak on a little portable grill. Simple right?? Any way we placed the grill on a tiny back porch and proceeded to almost start the whole place on fire. A few months later it was his birthday so I attempted to make a chocolate angel food cake. I didn’t have a slotted spoon so after whipping up the egg whites I ended up deflating it into a syrupy mess …he laughed! and we went and got more ingredients to start over.
We’ve been married for 31 years but still enjoy reminising about my early cooking abilities!
Recently my hubby got a babysitter for our three kids and took me to a wonderful dinner on the Potomac. We could see the Capital Building across the river from our table. Afterward we walked around Old Town Alexandria and just spent time together. What made it romantic for me was that there wasn’t a reason to do it and I had no idea until he told me to get ready to go out.
Renee’, this was so sweet. Loved the Christmas tree lights ambiance, too.
