Jordan Summers did this meme and linked to John Scalzi who posted this meme called, Ten Things I’ve Done You Probably Haven’t. (and if you have, chime in. I love to hear stuff like this!
)
Here’s mine in no particular order…
1) Stood in the oval office while President Clinton gave a radio address.
2) Had staples put in my head. (Word of advice…Suck it up and just let them staple away. The litocaine shot hurts just as much.)
3) Spent the night in a haunted castle.
4) Been on a runway wearing fancy clothes. (They needed a “body” and I was convenient, so up on stage I went. Boy, am I ever so glad I didn’t trip and fall off!)
5) Worked in a formal-wear shop. (see #4)
6) Flown as a “co-pilot” in a small ten person airplane. (There are a LOT of dials on that dashboard. I didn’t touch a thing. I swear.)
7) Ridden a horse across a beach in Ireland.
8 ) Experienced my very first “White Christmas” while living in the desert. (Oh, the irony!)
9) Am distantly related to a famous race car driver. (It’s amazing the things you learn when your parents are just gabbing away. Me as an adult: “Huh? We’re related? Why am I just now learning this?”)
10) Watched my sister give her pet rat a bath.
Oh, and I’m a guest blogger on Harlequin’s Paranormal Blog. The blog post is about how several of my stories have been inspired by unusual origins.

That’s one thing I haven’t done.

Hi Patrice!
I also had 12 staples in my head. A wooden clock fell off the top of a cabinet and the edge of it hit me on the top of my head. Made quite a gash. In the emergency room the nurses and the doctor kept making comments like, “She got clocked” and “Time ran out on her” and other silly stuff. I don’t know how many shots they gave me in the wound, but boy did they hurt. They put so many staples in I felt the last couple of them. Ouch! I also had to get a tetanus shot. That was a really bad day!

Hi Annalisa,
On the comments…they really had fun at your expense, didn’t they.
And man, 12! I felt the last couple going in too as I was gritting out,”The litocaine isn’t woooorking!”

That’s a great list!! Have a good day!

Hi Renee! *waves*

I walked Kilaua on the big island of Hawaii and two weeks after I came home, it erupted in 1994. I also took a ride over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter.

Oooh, Phyllis, did that make you shiver with the *close call* heebie-jeebies when you learned what happened later in Hawaii?
That’d be neat to fly over the Grand Canyon!

I haven’t spent the night in a haunted castle, but I have stayed in a haunted house. I also got talked into being in a fashion show and I was also glad I didn’t fall on my face because I am a little on the clumsy side.

Patricia,
I was so worried I would fall off that stage. I wanted to wear flats and they said, “No way!”
