Contemporary, Historical or Paranormal?
When I first starting reading, historicals were the only thing I read. Now it’s pretty much paranormals, urban fantasy and some contemporaries…thriller or horror.
Hardback, Trade Paperback or Mass Market Paperback?
Mass market is easier to tote around, but if it’s a book a really want, the format doesn’t matter.
Heyer or Austin?
Austin!
Amazon or Brick & Mortar?
There’s just something about walking around in a brick and mortar bookstore, especially if I have a cup of coffee or tea in hand. But I also do keep Amazon in pretty good business as well.
First romance novel you ever remember reading?
Kathleen Woodiwiss - The flame and the flower.
Alphabetize by author, alphabetize by title or random?
Random
Keep, throw away or sell?
There are some books I just can’t seem to get rid of. For the ones that I do decide to part with, I always donate them to the library. It’s a crime to throw away a book!
Read with dustjacket or remove it?
I always read with it on.
Sookie Stackhouse or Anita Blake?
To date, I haven’t read either author.
Stop reading when tired or at chapter breaks?
I like to stop at chapter breaks, which can be a real issue if the author is really good at leaving you hanging at the end of a chapter.
“It was a dark and stormy night” or “Once upon a time”?
It was a dark and stormy night.
Crusie or SEP?
I’ve never read either author.
Buy or borrow?
Always buy. I like to support the authors.
Buying choice: Book Reviews, recommendations or browse?
I browse and go by recommedations. I find reviews interesting but they don’t influence my buying decisions.
Tidy ending or cliff-hanger?
It depends on the type of book I’m reading.
Morning reading, afternoon reading, or evening reading?
Evening reader…up until the wee hours.
Series or stand alone?
Either. Though if I read a stand alone that had really great characters I’m mentally begging the author to write their stories!
Favorite book of which no one else has heard?
I can’t think of a book I’ve read that I’ve never heard mentioned before.
