Feeling blessed…

Today I was getting ready to work on my final chapter in the short story I’m writing for my Yahoo group when I ran across my Diary to Publication in the same folder. I promised myself I’d keep a diary until I published my first book and would take it down once I’d sold my first novel. I keep telling everyone that I’ve been writing for four years…hahaha, when I went back to my diary, my first official entry was in Sept 2003, so it’s not quite four years yet. ) My first official sale was A TASTE FOR PASSION and I sold it in Feb 2003. I sold HARM’S HUNGER just a few days later in March…go figure HARM’S HUNGER ended up being released first, then A TASTE FOR PASSION. Since then I’ve gone on to sell 8 other stories. YEY!! After reading my diary I feel very blessed to be where I am right now, not quite four years after I seriously started writing. I’ve learned so much about the craft of writing…one of the main lessons is that I’ll always be learning and improving my craft!

I love writing for my current publisher and of course I’d like to write for NY publishers as well. Ten books in less than four years isn’t too shabby, though I know of several authors who’ve more than doubled that! Ah, always a goal to aspire to. D This year I’ve been focusing on several projects at once. In case any of my readers are reading this entry, LOL, just know that I’m busy writing and hopefully I’ll have some cool things coming your way in the not too distant future. )

Well, I’d better get back to that last chapter…

  1. Yes, goals are always nice to keep. A great way to remind ourselves that we’re working hard.
I’m sure some cool things are coming your way, too. Stay positive!
    Fingers crossed!
