I finally got my new computer up and running and I discovered I have this voice dictation software on it. Thought I’d give it a try while I was working on a chapter. Ayeyeyeyeyye…it was like pulling teeth! NOT the speech recognition part (well, it had flub ups every so often)…no, I was referring to me trying to “speak” my story. I swear there must be a right brained/left brained thing going on between typing my thoughts and speaking them so it gets typed on the screen. No broken hands or anything allowed in my writing future! LOL!

I just couldn’t do it. I have to put fingers to keyboard and let my mind to. Just doesn’t work the same by trying to speak it!

LOL! Well, at least you gave it a shot. I have a friend who truly hates typing, and she bought voice recognition software. Problem was the software didn’t translate very well. She’s back to writing in long hand. Personally, I love typing. Like you, I hope I never break a hand.

Hey Julia!
I did try. With most software you can
“train” it to learn how you speak, but yep, it definitely had flubs, not as many as I expected, but flubs nonetheless.
Patrice chants *fingers must stay nimble* over and over.
