I talked to a childhood friend this weekend and she reminisced about how when she’d want to come over and play, some days I’d tell her I just wanted to read. She said she vividly remembers sitting there at my house some days watching TV while I sat on the stairs and read. What a geek I was as a kid! (and rude!…I don’t even remember doing that!), but well, when I said in my bio I’d been a fan of romance novels since I was an early teen, I wasn’t lying. LOL! And as my friend pointed out…all that reading has paid off since I’m now writing novels.
My good news is that A TASTE FOR CONTROL’s cover has been nominated for best cover art by The Romance Studio. Woohoo! AND, the HEARTS ARE WILD anthology has been nominated for Best Erotic Anthology at The Romance Studio as well. Yey!!!
Yay for both ATFC and HAW!!!! Fingers crossed.
I was one of those geeky kids who read too, Patrice. I loved the Little House on the Prairie books and Nancy Drew mysteries . I didn’t start with romance until I was in my late teens.
Congrats on your nominations over at THE ROMANCE STUDIO!
Hey Chey! Yey for both of us! Fingers and toes are definitely crossed! Btw, I “think” you’re fixed now. No more spam box for you.
Hey Julia, thanks for the congrats! I LOVED Nancy Drew and Encyclopedia Brown, The Narnia books, A Wrinkle in Time and The Swiftly Tilting Planet to name a few. Yep, I discovered romance when I was around 13 or so and was hooked ever since. *g*
